What to expect if we don't succeed in winning the battle against climate change. As the temperature goes up, up, up..... If we hit 4.0 and 6.0 and then hit 8.0 degrees Celsius...
There will be no where to hide. No where to run. No one to protect us. And no one to look out for our children.
No Internet, no food, no water, no government, no medicine, no transportation, no banks, no stock market, no jobs and no way out.
Once panic sets in, as it did with masks and toilet paper during the pandemic, you better have a gun. And plenty of ammo.
Your toilet won't flush, your car won't start, your grocery store will be overrun and then be closed. Your cell phone and TV won't work, electricity will be unavailable. And your friends and family will have no idea where you are or how you're doing.
Fires will be worse, floods and tornados will be worse, earthquakes will likely worsen, animals will starve. People will starve. Children will starve.
Sea levels will rise. Whole countries will go underwater. Migrants will demand resources. Government will collapse. The potential for a nuclear war will become very real. Civil wars will become rampant.
There will be no way out. No way back. No way to fix anything. It will be too late!
No seafood, no farms, no crops, no livestock, no mammals, no birds, no flowers, no lakes, no snow, no waterfalls and no functioning hospitals.
We will starve, die of myriad diseases, die in civil wars, die in fires, freeze to death and burn to death.
Restaurants gone. Hotels non-functional and overrun. Air travel completely gone. Boats not useful because there is no fuel.
Having a baby? HA! Who's going to deliver it? Feed it? Protect it? Educate it? And nurture it?
Family life done. Churches gone. Schools and universities shut down or burned down.
And there will most likely be no running water, no heat, no shelter, no lighting, no way to cook food or hydrate one's self and family.
Sports gone. Recreation gone. Travel gone. Dining out gone. Dining in gone.
NOTHING that would remind us of what we worked so many centuries to produce.
All gone!!!
If we don't act quickly and successfully, and collectively and wisely, climate change will make World War II look like Disneyland.
